Floradora Cocktail

When the recipe for the Floradora Cocktail showed up in my inbox from the Cocktail Enthusiast, I couldn’t wait to try it out.  It contained several ingredients from my favorite food groups – gin, lime and ginger beer.  The addition of raspberry liquer made it all the more tempting.  The name was a winner as well.  The Floradora is a classic cocktail that has been around for ages, and is being remembered again.  As a grandma of a two and a half year-old, I also know Dora (the Explorer) is a rockstar’s name.

Here is how I made it.

Floradora Cocktail

1 1/2 ounces gin

1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice

1/2 ounce raspberry liquer (I used Clear Creek Distillery‘s)

4 ounces chilled ginger beer

Measure the first three ingredients into your tallish serving glass and stir.  Add the ginger beer and a garnish of a lime wheel.

It’s easy to make, and easy to enjoy!
